It is not meant for him to supply all of your happiness. Take time to discover who you are; take time to stand on your own two feet and know that you are capable of being happy when you are alone. Your vibe of self-acceptance will make him love you even more.

Be an independent woman with self-confidence that blows the top off your roof.

If you are needy, one of two things will happen. Men will run like hell, or they will take advantage of you.
Either way, you are screwed and true love will evade you.

When you say,”I want to fall in love,” what are you actually looking for?

Superficial “features” like…
- “good in bed”
- “great physique”
- “rich”
or “qualities” with someone…
- you can trust?
- with common interests?
- who loves you even if you walk around in sweats and your hair tousled?
- to support you in your goals?
- who will be there for you through the challenging times?
These are the differences between love and lust.

These are what you must consider when you say “I want to fall in love.”

Think of it this way…

Most “features” can come and go … but most “qualities” only improve and deepen with time.

Your hot hunky sex god may well be pudgy, out of shape and balding 10 years from now… and if he is a jerk and self centered now… chances are he will be in 10 years time as well.

Option B… choose a man who treats you with the love, care and respect you long for deep down… perhaps the man possessing these qualities is slightly shorter than you with a receding hairline… but it’s amazing what a real emotional connection can do for a relationship. I have a cardinal rule that I am passing on to you my dear. You never buy a pair of shoes until you try them on.
How silly would you be to spend $50 on a pair of shoes if you are not sure they are going to fit?

The same is true for men. I understand when you say I want to fall in love, but try a few men on first. Nothing is lost by this, right? Some of you save sex for marriage so this isn’t just about sexual compatibility. Before you try to get him to commit see how he treats you in various “life” situations…
- Does he value you for “you” and respect your opinion?
- Does he stop opening doors after only a few dates?
- Do you have to always do what he wants?
- How does he treat you after a disagreement?
- Can he apologize if he is wrong?
- Will he help you weed your garden?
If he wants to rush right out the door, he is definitely not the one. If he sticks around for for awhile, but then leaves without calling, he’s the wrong size. Now, if he remembers your favorite ice cream, mentions dinner later and kisses you goodbye, you might just have found the right size and style.
